Vulnerability title: Arbitrary Code Execution In Aruba Web Management Portal

CVE: CVE-2014-2592
Vendor: Aruba
Product: Web Management Portal
Affected version:
Fixed version: N/A
Reported by: Francisco Ribeiro

The file upload feature of Aruba Web Management portal version and possily others, allows the uploading and execution of any files. Whilst this may be considered an intended feature to allow having customised captive portals, it may also be used to compromise the system via arbitrary command execution.

For example, a file with the following code could be uploaded:

<?php system($_GET['var']); ?></p>

Once a PHP shell is uploaded to the appliance from an authenticated perspective this file can be rendered by PHP allowing arbitrary code execution in the context of the web server which should not be possible otherwise. This shell may also be remotely accessible from users with access to this captive portal on guest networks.

Exploit code is not required.
